Putrid Pink!

Before Pink Eye!

During Pink Eye! Poor Boy!

This may touch a nerve, but I really dislike the color pink. On little girls it's good, and on the occasional grown woman or man, but that's where it ends! I now have one more reason to hate pink and that is Pink Eye! Poor Lincoln got a cold last week and late in the week it developed into Pink Eye, or ConJUNCtivius. Emphasis on JUNK! It was brutal!! I actually think more so on me and Jordan than Lincoln. He was running around about the same as usual. But it was sooo sad to look at and broke my heart when he would smile at me and his eyes would disappear behind the swollen lids! He is better now, and that's why I waited to do this post, it was too hard to do when I was all stressed out. So here are some pics. sorry if you don't want to see, I ca barely look myself. And in honor of gross pink here is the first and last time you will ever see pink as my background, never again. And hopefully never again to pink eye!
P.S. Is there anyone out here who has had it or seen it? Please tell me your experience, this was mine and Jordan's first.

My First Day of Nursery

This the picture he colored, what an artist, I like the way the line draws your eye off the page.

Lincoln had a good first day, he ran into the classroom (because he saw the barrells of toys) and didn't look back. He's in the third nursery. Our ward is so young that there are three nursery's with about 10-15 kids in each. I know one of his teachers is Sister Conrad our neighbor. Our new chapel has little windows at eye level on all the class room doors, it's really nice. So we peeked in a few times and he was being Lincoln, running around, standing on tables, bossing the 3 years olds, and rebelling against quiet time. A perfect angel. Glad I'm not his teacher!
I hope he continues to like Nursery!

My first Buzz.

The Red Neck Mullet! And the end result!! Semper Fi!

bye bye curls! ;(
Once we got started, there was no turning back! So Lincoln's hair is of much debate at our house. Jordan has always wanted it long. I want it short. You know like a more trimmed look. Jordan didn't want him looking "square" But neither one of us wanted it THIS short. Ok, so how did this happen? I guess because we have no hair cutting skills at our house so Jordan thought that if he used the biggest comb (thingee I don't know what it's called) on the buzzer it would cut in all over but not buzzed. Sooooo he was wrong. It doesn't look bad but I laugh because it's exactly what Jordan said he didn't want. Oh well, now we have Jar Head baby. He actually sat still through the whole process.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Today we enjoyed a visit from a Leprechaun who turned our breakfast green! (looks a little more radioactive green than Leprechaun green) ! Lincoln wasn't sure at first but ended up eating them all gone! He's getting pretty good with a fork, but of course he is a boy and in my experience, boys love shiney, sharp objects. He hasn't quiet mastered the spoon yet. All my love to the Irish!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUSBAND!

Today is my hubby's Birthday. He's 29! Finally we're the same age! But it will only last for 2 months a day. Than I turn..... but that's not important. I have no idea what time he was born or any of that stuff, but I'm glad he was! He's a great father and husband and I love him soo much, even though I sometimes give him a hard time on my blogs it's all in fun.
I'm doing this tag in honor of Jordan.

"Here's a chance to see how well you really know your husband. Cut, paste and fill in the answers, then tag 10 people, you know what to do. The real challenge is to have your hubby read it and see if your correct."

1. What is your husband doing right now? He's at work, working hard and probably enjoying the Mt. Dew and Snikers I left for him in the car.
2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad? Ranch all the way, he loves it!
3. What's one food he doesn't like? Diet Sodas and BBQ sauce.
4. You go out to eat and have a drink. What does he order? Dr.Pepper or a flavored lemonade.
5. Where did he go to high school? Uintah High
6. What size shoe does he wear? 11 or 12? I'll go check...12.
8. What is his favorite type of sandwich? He's not really a sandwich guy, more of a burrito or hamburger guy, but he does like the Chicken Breast sandwich from Subway or a good Philly Cheese Steak.
9. What would this person eat every day if he could? Shrimp Gumbo or Cafe Rio Burrito. (I'm making the Gumbo tonight for his Birthday)
10. What is his favorite cereal? Raisin Bran, or Raisin Nut Bran, or Anything with "Clusters"
11. What would he never wear? a Turtle Neck or Speedo!
12. What is his favorite sports team? Eagles- Football, Jazz -Basketball, and UTES!- College.
13. Who did he vote for? McCain? I didn't ask.
14. Who is his best friend? Me! And Brian Walker and Nick Sheilds... and other HS guys.
15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do? Shop and repaint our walls.
16. What is his heritage ? HM.... English and Some Baltic country?
17. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind of cake? He's more of an Apple pie guy, but Ice cream cake I guess. We also love Red Velvet at are house!
18. Did he play sports in high school? Football, a little basketball.
19. What could he spend hours doing? Watching Sports, like hours! But also hanging out with us and family playing games and visiting and eating.
20. What is one unique talent he has? He's really good at politics and debating, and remembers things I have no idea about., he's good with numbers and a good negiotor, which sounds wierd but I like it, comes in handy! He's also pretty handy around the house.

My Pretty lil' Bowls

My Ode to Bowls...

I love bowls, I don't know why. My husband thinks it's a bit ridiculous. I guess I've become somewhat of a collector? Not on purpose, nor do I go looking for bowls to buy, but they seem to find me! I go into a store and sometimes find myself by the dishware/stoneware and there's always such new and pretty stuff. So pretty! I want it all but instead of buying it all (because THAT would be ridiculous) I settle for a $4.99 bowl, that's called being fruggle. Bowls are round, some are square, some hold a lot and some hold a little, but we can all agree they make pretty great art when stacked! Don't worry, you can use my bowls, just don't break them or they're off limits (Jordan learned the hard way). Every morning I get up and have cereal in one of my pretty bowls, it's a happy start to my day. I love cereal! and I love bowls! What a great combination!

Cousins make the Best Friends!

We had a playdate with Carter, Lincoln's cousin, this week. They are still learning how to play "together" they mostly do the side by side playing, where they watch eachother to see what they're playing wih, and most likely steal it!, because "it's sooo much better that what I have!" The age old dilemma! I loved playing with my cousins! They're my best friends even though some of them I only saw once or twice a year. We'd meet at my grandparents in the summer and it was like we had never left the backyard where we'd play nightgames or pretend the big log was the Millennium Falcon (I was Princess Leah of course) or the spooky attic where we'd play house and dress up in our mom's old highschool clothes or spy on others below. When we got older we'd all go into the bedroom and have girl talk where we'd talk about.... BOYS of course! Even now we're still close and after the big Thanksgivng dinner we head to bedroom for naps and girl talk. I love my family! I hope my kids grow up to have good relationships with their cousins!
