Our Weekend of Fun

So we had our last days of being working stiffs this week and it feels great to be free from "The Man!" I've had to work Saturdays at all the jobs I've had since I joined the work force ...10...12...some years ago, and so it was nice to not have to work and to just hang out with the fam and do family things. We did our annual ginger bread houses at Grandmas! A Christmas traditions since I young and now we're doing it with our kids! To see the instructions on how to make such an easy and glorious house, check out my design blog! http://chicityourself.blogspot.com/

An attractive picture of L saying cheese with his candy in his mouth. Nice.

The nephew showing off our ginger bread village.

Later, we went outside to play in the snow. L hated getting his winter clothes on but he later learned it was totally worth it. He loved the snow!

"I can't put my arms down!"

Once there was a snowman...

Tall,

Tall...

TALL!! But no it hasn't melted yet, it's too cold out!

Design Blog

I'm doing "12 Days of Chic'ness" on my other blog. http://chicityourself.blogspot.com. Check it out! I just posted a project I did, it's easy and makes a great gift!

The First week of Christmas

We've been having a lot of fun so far this Christmas season! Last week we went a ward "Christmas Breakfast with Santa." The events were as follows, Lincoln went from excited, to confused, to scared. But that's what I expected and it was good entertainment. Thanks son, you always make me laugh!
We also had the opportunity to go to the 1st Presidencies Christmas Devotional at the Conference Center on Sunday. It was beautiful. I felt privileged to be able to hear the Tabernacle Choir sing the Handel's "Messiah" live. They also sang one of my all time favorite Christmas songs "Oh Holy Night" But mostly listening to the speakers talk about the first Christmas touched me and always starts off the Holiday season right.

I love how Santa is like "We're best friends" and Lincoln is like "Get away from me!"

Love is All You Need.

Thanksgiving Day couldn't have fallen on a better day because it was our Anniversary! Our 7 YEAR anniversary!! Do I feel an itch coming on? Just kidding. A few things I remember from our wedding day. We got married at 1pm on a Tuesday, best time ever, those who get married at 9am are crazy! We got married in the Salt Lake Temple and it was freezing! But I love Fall so I wouldn't have gotten married any other time! My photographer is my friend who is now a famous photographer you have to book like a year in advance, Simplicity Photography. These were taken with a camera that holds film! Can you believe it? How old are we, not even photo shopped (that's how good she is). Um.. I also remember at our reception we served soup in bread bowls, yummy, and the wedding cake was brown which at the time, everyone thought was weird. It was beautiful, my mom and aunts and cousins and friends spent their day setting up the tented ceiling and that ment so much to me. These are the only pics I could finds since the rest our boxed up. It was a great day and it's been a great 7 years, number 8 will be crazy! Love you Sweet Pea.

Pictures that didn't make the blog for some reason.

You probably don't know this, but our son is an X-KID. They call him Wolverine Jr

The "kid got into the baby powder" picture and he even has the ashamed face. Classic.
Lincoln's cousin Carter, you can see why they get along. He was literally taking handfuls of dirt at the camp ground and throwing them in his own face. His X-KID name is Pig Pen.
An "aww" moment with Daddy and Lincoln.
So this is Kangaroo Zoo in Lindon. It's one of those warehouses that have big blow up bounce houses and slides. We went there over the summer when Rochelle was out here with the boys. Best thing ever invented to get their energy out!

Lincoln's favorite thing, literally, running around in circles and jumping.
I really can't believe he was able to climb up to the top of this slide, most kids couldn't do it, it had a difficult ladder. I'm so proud.

Bouncin' with Carter.

Halloween Night (or afternoon)

We went up to Ogden to spend Halloween with our friends the Walkers. We've spent just about every Halloween together in the past 7 years so we're trying to keep the tradition alive. We had a really great time, especially since this year Lincoln was old enough to go Trick or Treating. It's kind of wierd now that's light out when you go Trick or Treating, I'm not sure if I like it.

Our Little Pony out Trick or Treating! He hated his costume at first and was kind of embarrassed but he when it came to getting candy he can pretty much put up with anything.

Lincoln Trick or Treating with his friends. He was the only boy in the whole group, he doesn't mind he's just happy to have other kids around!

It was fun that Jordan and I both got to go trick or treating with Lincoln.

FALL(with a little summer mixed in)

It's been really hard trying to keep up with my blogs when I don't have a computer! This is my parents and it doesn't have all my pictures!

So this what we do... FOOTBALL! It's Fall, that what our weekends consist of, but we always do it with friends so we have a great time. These are the kids of those crazy fans (us) who finally got to watch their Disney movie.

We're also still trying to decide where to go to finish school and where Jordan can do his Masters. So we went on a little "College Tour" a couple of weekends ago. We went to Cedar City and Ogden.

OH YEAH! KEEPIN' IT REAL AT THE QUALITY INN Y"ALL!

Earlier (last month) we went up too Cascade Springs in American Fork Canyon to look at the pretty Fall colors with Grandpa and Grandma!

August, (I know right) when cousins were here we went to Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove. The kids love it, it huge!!

The Little Bee Hive for the kids to play on. Really, this place is so BIG! This is like 10% of the park.

I was way tired and it was late when I did this, so excuse the mistakes

Lincoln had a Birthday

Lincoln had ANOTHER birthday! Gee's how many does that make for him....oh yeah, 2. He's getting to old! Stay my baby forever! Ok so I admit I don't alway think that, maybe once or twice I've thought "why don't you drive me to the store and buy me some new shoes" ;) But basically he's our wild man who loves to run, dance, march, chase, growl and sneeze! If you sit on the floor be prepared to be tackeled or climbed on! He is in the 90% of everything! Height, Weight, Head Size, Sillyness! He also loves books, balls and blankets. He also loves Curious George, hence the theme of his Party!Cousins who came to the Party. Wearing the Curious George masks. Of course Lincoln wouldn't!
Lincoln winning a ball at the ring toss!

Where was Lincoln? oh, getting into his present!

Silly Collin being a monkey in his George mask!

Carter in his George Mask!

Ok, so don't laugh, but yes I made the cake. My first attempt and at a "theme" cake!

Silly Monkey cake!

Lincoln and CAKE!

Sorry, a lot of pictures!

New Post! Finally!

On my design blog! It's my favorite so far!http://chicityourself.blogspot.om

A "Not about Lincoln" post, can you believe?

This is still the last week of August, I didn't get to post last week because of being busy and computer troubles. So here is still some of the fun things we did!! Thursday we had an "adult night" (no not that kind) and we went to Manti with my brother's family and his in-laws to attend a good ol' country County Fair! How can you not love that it! I can't decide what was more fun, the people watching or the smashing up cars watching! There were so many times I said "Only in a small town." I love how this all took place across the street, and the foot of the Manti Temple!

We're not drunk, just high from the fumes I'm sure.

So a couple days later we had an early birthday party for the Virgina Nephews. Here are all the boys with grandma. You may think someone is missing from this picture, but Carter's leg is over on the left hand side. See, I did get them all, he was being a little shy.

My best friend Jack Jack opening his presents. He's such a sweet heart. Everyone is his "best friend" I'm glad I got to bond with him a lot while he was here. I miss him!

Baby Nate opening his gifts!

Looking at their spoils! We had a good time! I'm glad my mom thought of this idea since we're never around for their birthdays! That same night my dad made the best Cajun style seafood. (I just had to though that in).
