30! But I don't want too!

So in honor (lets say) of turning 30 in a couple weeks (aaug!) here is my first "Anti-winkle" cream. I don't have any wrinkles yet but I figured it's a right of passage, plus if I get winkles than I know it doesn't work and I demand a refund! I'll keep you posted.

What we've been up to.

I've been doing a lot of yard work lately. We're getting ready for some rocks tomorrow. Here are my yellow Ranunculus I love them! And my tulips are about to bloom! YEA! Stay tune for pictures!

Lincoln loves music and to shake his grove thang! I swear he must have songs playing in his head all day because he'll be busy with a toy and then suddenly stand up and start dancing. I finally got it on tape. It's his Dada Dance. I think I have it down. You skip on one foot and put your arms up and down.

I put 2 here. Just cause.

We had a low key Easter. The highlight would be the steaks the Jordan is cooking.. HMM MM! They were tasty. My grandpa has a farm but it's not used much anymore, I think now my uncles use it to fatten up cows so we can have tasty steaks and hamburgers! This was our first attempt at cooking steak and useing our grill. I still can't get over how freaking good they were!!

The Easter Bunny did brings some new clothes for Lincoln, BUT he didn't even get to wear them because he his still fighting an ear infection which gave him pink eye again. AND he has some RSV in his lungs, so the doctor says. RSV is going around our neighborhood like wild fire so we stayed home from church. Did you know adults get RSV too, so Jordan and I were also lucky enough to get it.

A Little Love Goes a Long Way

So something I've learned through the years, and that I've also seen mentioned on HGTV is that most people tend to neglect their master bedroom. It's always the last thing to get done or gets the least amount of attention. I am guilty of this. I spend of a lot more time on the rest of my house because I guess it's what I and most people see. I use to go to my room just to sleep, oh I had dreams and visions of what I wanted it to look like. Well, I finally buckled down and did something about it. It's not a "dream bedroom" I'm sure, but it's now more cohesive,presentable and flows better with the rest of the house.

I did this back in January but I'm now posting it. I started by painting the walls a Pottery Barn Color from Benjamin Moore. The dark color is Brewster Grey and the light is Silver Light. In a magazine called Creative Home I saw the pattern useing a stensil of the lighter color on the bottom color around the room, kind of giving a look of the color "bleeding" in the the other. (make since?) I went in a Damask stensil because I lloovvee Damask!
Next we added some new bedding that we got for Christmas, (Jordan picked out!) which I love! In my signature "black and white". I recovered the lampshades (again) and I finished with the pop of Chartreuse (my favorite of all the greens) in the curtains, which are from a great company in downtown Salt Lake, C.G. Sparks. They have great authentic pieces from India and Micro Asia, Authenic! You may pay a little more but you know you're getting a real peice, unlike some place (Anthropolgie) who build their "old weathered" pieces in a factory in Jersery and then charge you an arm and leg. But I still love them. The white roman shades with the green ribbon I made. easy peesee.

So now I love my room, I look forward to going in there at the end of the day and enjoy my new pretty surroundings. I'm sure I get a better sleep too!
