My Pretty lil' Bowls

My Ode to Bowls...

I love bowls, I don't know why. My husband thinks it's a bit ridiculous. I guess I've become somewhat of a collector? Not on purpose, nor do I go looking for bowls to buy, but they seem to find me! I go into a store and sometimes find myself by the dishware/stoneware and there's always such new and pretty stuff. So pretty! I want it all but instead of buying it all (because THAT would be ridiculous) I settle for a $4.99 bowl, that's called being fruggle. Bowls are round, some are square, some hold a lot and some hold a little, but we can all agree they make pretty great art when stacked! Don't worry, you can use my bowls, just don't break them or they're off limits (Jordan learned the hard way). Every morning I get up and have cereal in one of my pretty bowls, it's a happy start to my day. I love cereal! and I love bowls! What a great combination!

Cousins make the Best Friends!

We had a playdate with Carter, Lincoln's cousin, this week. They are still learning how to play "together" they mostly do the side by side playing, where they watch eachother to see what they're playing wih, and most likely steal it!, because "it's sooo much better that what I have!" The age old dilemma! I loved playing with my cousins! They're my best friends even though some of them I only saw once or twice a year. We'd meet at my grandparents in the summer and it was like we had never left the backyard where we'd play nightgames or pretend the big log was the Millennium Falcon (I was Princess Leah of course) or the spooky attic where we'd play house and dress up in our mom's old highschool clothes or spy on others below. When we got older we'd all go into the bedroom and have girl talk where we'd talk about.... BOYS of course! Even now we're still close and after the big Thanksgivng dinner we head to bedroom for naps and girl talk. I love my family! I hope my kids grow up to have good relationships with their cousins!

Kitchen curtains, easy to do. Some Linen and cafe clips.

The "little birdie" silouttes. love them!

Valentines cake, it's nothing that belongs in cook book or magazine but it was fun and good. I used cookie cutters and pink sprinkles.

First off, I would like to acknowledge that I spell words wrong, I know I do it and I know I don't fix it because I either don't care or I forget to prof-read my post. It's usually the later because I'm trying to type and stop a roundy 1 year old from tearing the office apart. So if I spell a word wrong now and again I ask you to not hold it against me (husband Jordan who is the one who points them out).

So we've been coup'd up again these past 2 weeks with not much to show for it but a few videos of silly boy and nice clean garage. Jordan was home Presidents day so to my surprise he mentioned that he thought we should clean out the garage. I was more than happy too! Incase you're new to this blog, I like things clean. Also this month we enjoyed a visit from Jordan's mom who came out to get her "baby fix" I guess it's more of a "toddeler fix" now! It was nice to have a visitor, something to look forward to and something to do, February is such a drab month. We went to the Draper Temple open house. We caught the last bus ride up there at 8:45 pm that night and so there were hardly any other people, infact during most of it it was just us three so that was cool. Also this month, my little sister turned 25, that's half way to 50! I had to throw that in there because she said that to me when I turned 25. And of course Valentines day which I didn't even realized happened(husband). So that's our month. Here's a few videos and pictures to remember it by.

What have I been up too.....

I love checker board floors in Kitchens and Laundry. So 1940's housewife!

Pillow, front and back reversible

So it's been awhile I know. I guess I got a little tired of blogging, and then it's starts to pile up and than you really don't want to do it, kind of like laundry!!

I have been working on some of my "resolutions" one of them was sewing and I found these fun napkins and place matts at peir 1 and also at this great Modern furnishing store downtown called Modern Materials. So I did a little sewing a little stuffing and create my own trendy pillows.

Nothing shics up a room like a new accessory, and nothing is better if you can shic it cheap!
I also repainted our Master bedroom which I'll post shortly (I promise!) and here is also our laundry/mud room that I tiled (by myself ,Jordan did the tear out) this was back in October but I'm just posting it now.

A NEW YEAR!

Yes! This is very late, but we've been fighting sickness at our house for the last month and now that we're finally better I feel like I can take a moment to Blog! So it's 2009! I can't believe that 5 years ago I started working at my current job and 10 years ago it was 1999, and I was 19, almost 20 and about to spend the summer as a camp counselor in Pennsylvania, it was in the Poconos (outside of Scranton PA for all those "Office" watchers) and yes I use to go to Scranton once a week, and yes! It is a hole with bad smells. But PA it's self is Gorgeous!

Anyway, I digress. So some of my Resolutions are.. Of course, lose weight. BUT I have actually been working on the for the past few months, and we got a new Eliptical Machine! I love it! I was so bummed when winter came and I couldn't do my morning walks anymore. So thanks husband for this great gift. I should actually thank his work because they give their employees $250 a year to spend on Gym equipment and thank my little bro. for working at ICON so we could get a good deal!

Ok, I also plan on Journaling more, which I have started a book on Blurb so that's getting done. I also want to keep up with my Freezer Meals, my painting, my sewing, my design buisness and I want to take a photography and upholstery class. I won't bore you with anymore details, but since this is kind of journal for me I felt incline to list some of my goals.

Hope you all have a great New Year too!
