My lamp and sterotyping

My Project last week.

Before=Red

After- Black and White, because I'm going to repaint my walls blue.

Well, I just sold my piano and I'm kind of sad about it since it's the one I grew up playing on. But the pro's out weighed the cons (ie. moving and I want an upright grand) I got a good price for it too so the money softens the blow. Last week was a typical week for us. Eat, sleep, and poop (mostly all Lincoln) I did a couple little projects. Like recovering my lamp shades. Before-the red, After- the Black and White. Also cleaning out the Laundry room so we can tile it, and put up some cabinets. It will help the house sale. Kitchens, Master baths, and Laundry rooms.
And if you're going to be sexist and sterotype, it's because those are women terrioties and the men don'y really care. And if a woman likes the house, most likely they'll buy it. I'm sorry if that offends you but I've been working with couples to long who design or redesign their homes and 99% of the time they go with what the woman wants. And F.Y.I. Jordan is in the 1% who care, which isn't alway nice because then I have to "check" with him to see if he likes it. Of course if he doesn't I just say, " well you don't know you don't have a degree in design" and I win anyways.

hmm, what else. Well we tried to go to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving point but were told the tulips weren't open yet so we're going this week. We went to IKEA instead. Oh, and on Saturday we had get together with our friends, Brian, Jesenia, Blake, and Angela Walker, for dinner and the Jazz game. Mmmm and chocolate fondue! Another sterotype but true..Guys around the T.V. and Girls around the chocolate.

Lincoln goes to the Doctor and other Happy Tales.

So I posted these pictures since they are my favorite from March. Even though it is now April...So I've been asked a couple times about the Receipt book that has the frozen dinners. It is called "Dinner is Ready" Again, I can't say how much I love it. The meals are soooo tasty and easy to prepare!
Well this week was a busy one! I'm actually going to start with yesterday and work my way back. Grandma Neen was out this weekend to get her "babyfix" so we got to go out to eat. Since Lincoln is getting bigger it's getting a little harder. Keep all glasses out of arms reach.
Friday Lincoln had his Well-Check doctors visit. His stats are Weight: 18lbs 12oz. Height 271/2" and his head is... well lets just say Big. 90%, but you'd never know because he has brood shoulders and no neck, so it's pretty porpotioned. He also got shots and is so tough, he doesn't cry, just gets out a scream and then is fine. He even smiles at the nurse after.
Last Weekend- We did the family thing for conference, at my parents. Most all the siblings were there, excpet my bro's family, they live in VA. During the 2 hours break (12-2) we updated our 72 hour kits. We all brought a food item, enough for everyone and then split them and filled our packs. It was A Lot! But now we'll have enough water and food for I think 172 hours! My nice parents also gave each of us first aid kits, flashlights, the backpacks and something else, which I can't remember but I'm sure it was nice. We always try to do something productive like that conference time. We also of course have a little fun and do Ladies Night Out on Saturday night when the guys go to Priesthood. We did a little shopping and dining, and this year my cousins from Cedar were up here! So that was are first week of April, I hope it gets warm sooon!!

A Little Blurb on Me

So this week I'm a little late with a new post because when I went to log-in Mon and Tues. we were having problems with cookies and Java and not the kind you eat, but who names these things anyway?
Well after reading so many blogs where people talk about themselves and what they are doing and want they want to do or have, I decided to do a post on me this week. Some of my favorite things, some new hobbies I'm starting or taking back up again, and what I do when Lincoln is napping.

NEW HOBBIES
*I've always loved color and how it works together so I decided to take up painting. I took a couple art classes at USU when I was studing Interior Design and I liked it and did pretty well. I'm doing mostly abstracts with color, I like figuring out how they work and feel together. I'm not a fan of water color or people. For some reason I get annoyed with people who paint humans or animals and if it doesn't look like I looking a photograph I think what's the point. Sorry I do.

*I'm also a freakin' clean freak! So for me it's fun to organize stuff. So I have a ton of design magazines and now parenting magazines. So I'm tearing out pictures, articles, crafts ect. that I like and filing them away like so I can go right to it when I need something. Freakish, I know.

*I'm also going to take up quilting and have decided modernize the quilt with funky patterns and colors. First I need a sewing machine. I also want to knit but no one has had luck teaching me because I'm left handed.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES
*My Violin and guitar. I've had 5 years of lessons on the Violin, but stopped after high school, I was good, now I'm just ok. I love the Violin so I'm practicing again. Guitar is "eaah" for me (as I shrugg) too trendy. I use to know stuff but I don't quite remember.

*Piano is something I always play and practice. Right now I'm learning the "flight of the BumbleBee." Working on downloading to the right for your listening pleasure.

FAVORITE THINGS
*OK, so my mom found this new thing where you make dinners, good dinners, from scratch and then freeze them. I love it. It's designed to do 30 in one day so you have a months supply. But that's impossible for me right now. So I do 5 everyweek so I'll have dinners the next week. It's awesome! Add some Pilsbury rolls, salad or vegs. and you've got a yummy dinner (and leftovers for lunch the next day!)

*Reading fits into 2 catagories favorite and hobbies. I was disgusted with myself when I could name a million favorite T.V. and Movie shows, but couldn't think of any books. So my beloved mother-in-law is beyond an avid reader, her house is like a library, I love it. So I thought, "I'm lucky to have such a person I can take advantage of," because isnt' that what family is for? Anyway, I've beeng reading every night. I've read 2 1/2 novels in almost 2 weeks. I'll talk about those another day.

Well that's enough for now. I hope you read this, I hardly have the patients for long blog post so I'll understand. Next time I'll post some favorite websites and more Lincoln, who is into growling right now, he's lost his voice because of it. He says Hi.
